*If you'd like to make $5 donation to offset the cost of renting the room, it will be appreciated. Please bring a brown bag lunch and beverage. A refrigerator is available.

The get-together will be an informal, social event but moderated and with a structure to help everyone get the most out of the meeting and fully participate.

There will be a chance to show and tell us about your latest completed project.

You might care to show us what you are currently working on and maybe get help and advice if you are getting a bit stuck.

If you have recently learnt a new technique perhaps you might like to tell us about it or even show us how to do it.

You can share anything quilting related that you wish - we are talking about websites, shows, shops, patterns, notions, techniques - the list is endless - if you find it of interest it is likely others will also.

Please do sign up and give this meeting a try. It will be a great chance to get to know each other better, especially if you are not able to get to mid-week or in-person meetings.

POJAGI PATCHWORK PANEL - with Mary Davis (Saturday, April 11, 2026)

Pojagi Patchwork is a traditional Korean art form. Beautiful, reversible fabric pieces are made, often from scraps, by enclosing all raw edges in a flat-felled seam. This give a finished look to both sides of the piece, which resembles stained glass when held to light or hung in a window.

During the workshop, you will be able to make a panel in a size of your own choosing.

Following registration, you will be sent guidance on choosing your panel size and fabrics, together with a list of things you will need to bring to the workshop.

On the day, Mary will show examples of Pojagi pieces she has made.

Mary will demonstrate the Pojagi seaming technique and give each participant ready-cut fabric pieces to practice.

You will be taken through the process of determining the cuts needed to get the size of your finished panel (basically the math and the seam allowance needed).

You will then cut the required pieces before using the Pojagi seaming technique to make your own panel.

As you finish your piecing, you will be shown how to hem your panel and given ideas for hanging your finished panel.

This will be a fun group get-together to do what we all love doing - learning new, or perfecting, patchwork and quilting techniques.

Once again, throughout 2026, members are invited to attend a one-hour Zoom meeting focusing on Block of the Month programs. The meetings will be on the forth Wednesday of the month, unless notified otherwise.

As before, some members will be following A Quilting Life's BoM program, available through a sign-up or by checking their the monthly blog. Others will follow different BoM programs, or use a pattern to follow their own schedule.

No matter what Block of the Month program you are following, or if you just enjoy seeing what other members are working on, this is a regular chance to discuss progress, to ask for or give help and to encourage and motivate each other to complete blocks.

So please, join in any time, whether you are sewing blocks or just enjoy cheering others on.

Looking for a beautiful finish for your quilt?

Add a border to define the edge and bring interest to the quilt.

At least 6 borders will be demonstrated, possibly including one of the Seminole borders from the guild's zoom program on January 19th. Kathy Florence, Gini Duke, and Nancy Schubart planned and will perform the demonstrations.

Then, get inspired, be inspiring as you view or share your projects. Hear guild updates and chat with other quilters at our monthly daytime meeting. Enjoy the fun of the "Back Table" where you can bring or pick up fabric/notions/patterns/quilt magazines. Before you go home, you must take home anything you brought that still remains. This meeting is being offered in person at St. Giles Church located at 8271 52nd St. N, Pinellas Park, FL 33781 and over Zoom.

*The Food Pantry is next door to our meeting room. We will be collecting Food Drive Donations if you'd like to make one.

Join us for “From Inspiration to Art Process” by Rachel Derstine. This is a power point lecture of where Rachel finds inspiration for her art. She will also discuss how to make effective quilts using art concepts such as limiting color palette, simplifying the background, and using repetition of line, shapes, values, and color throughout the work. She is an art quilter residing in Philadelphia who has degrees in piano performance and is a long music teaching career.
