Behind the Seams

Peter is a National & International award-winning modern quilter and teacher with a deep passion for innovation and design. Peter loves making quilts, and teaching others to quilt. He is known for taking a fresh approach to quilt construction and design!

Using a slide-show Peter will take us through his own personal quilting journey, sharing 22 quilts and including “how to” pictures of his quilt making process, along with close ups of every quilt!

Peter will tell us about his experience of winning “Best in Show” and “Best Machine Quilting Frameless” at QuiltCon in 2020. We will 'visit' Peter's sewing studio and then go all the way back to 2009 and view the first two quilts he made.

Peter will then take us forward to 2017, when he became a full time student of the craft and joined the Toronto Modern Quilt Guild to further his quilting ambitions. We will see quilts he made in 2017 and 2018 as he practised and developed his quilting skills.

We then take a close look at Peter's quilts from 2019 to 2022, made specifically for juried shows. This is a fast paced, pre-recorded 45 minute presentation after which there will be plenty of time for a question and answer period!
