2023 UFO Challenge and Scoreboard

It’s time to commit to finishing your UFO’s!  If you’re like many who’ve cleaned/decluttered in January, you’ve found projects you haven’t finished that are still meaningful to you.  Now’s your chance to get an extra push to follow through on your good intentions to get them completed!  The rules this year are a little different to make it more compelling: Sign up to complete as many UFO’s as you’d like, with the entry fee of one Fat Quarter per UFO commitment. At the December 16th Holiday Party , we’ll have a drawing, and you’ll get one chance per completed UFO to win ALL the Fat Quarters. (originally scheduled to occur at the December 6 Sew Inspired  meeting.  This means if you commit to completing 5 UFO’s, you contribute 5 Fat Quarters.  If you only complete 3, then you have 3 chances in the drawing to win all the UFO’s, having paid a penalty of 2 chances and 2 Fat Quarters for not completing all your commitments. To be considered complete, if the UFO is a quilt, it must have a label except for QOV.

Sign up by sending an email to SuncoastQuiltingCircle@yahoo.com stating the number of UFO’s you will complete and your full name (sometimes it’s not obvious from the email address) by April 1st  August 31st. As new members join throughout the year, they can enter the same way.

You can show your complete UFO’s at any cottage group or Sew Inspired meeting, or take a photo or bring the item to the Sew Inspired meeting December 6th or the Holiday party on 16th, where the Fat Quarters will be collected (if not previously submitted at a Sew Inspired meeting or by alternate arrangement). The drawing will be  held on December 16th..  Report your progress to SuncoastQuiltingCircle@yahoo.com as you complete your UFOs and we’ll update the UFO scoreboard.
