| Complete a block of your choice, using any technique (applique or piecing or a combination of both) in one of the following UNFINISHED sizes: 24.5 wide x 24.5 high, 20.5 wide x 24.5 high, or 18.5 wide x 24.5 high Use red, white and blue PREWASHED (very important) quality cotton fabric, batik or standard cotton. QOV center block will have one winner: Members' Choice At the February 3, 2021 meeting, we will show the photos in a slide show twice, once to show the entries, and again so you can make your final choice. Then via anonymous Zoom poll you will vote. The winner will be announced and each person can explain about their quilt/block when it comes up in the slide show. Center blocks will be combined with additional blocks and/or borders to make a QOV top which will be completed at sit and sews by our members. Several of our members have agreed to machine quilt them. Extra fabric will make completion much easier but isn't required. When finished the quilts will be given to Norene Dagly as our in-house QOV representative(!) for future presentations. You may want to use your center block for a completed QOV quilt presentation to a qualified recipient you choose. Please call or email me with any questions. Take care, Kay Blikken |
