Join us to make 20" x 20" tactile quilts (aka busy quilts) for dementia patients, or work on your own projects.  We have lots of textural materials to add to your quilting fabric.

These tactile quilts should have a mix of textures like flannel, minky, corduroy, fleece, etc. or well secured strips of rick rack or other trims, in addition to quilting cotton, so a person can have the quilt in their lap and let their fingers rub against the various textures to soothe themselves.

We will be meeting in person at St. Giles Church located at 8271 52nd St. N, Pinellas Park, FL 3378; it will not available over Zoom.

*If you'd like to make $5 donation to offset the cost of renting the room, it will be appreciated.  Please bring a brown bag lunch and beverage.  A refrigerator is available.

A list of suggested supplies is here.

Our mission is to preserve and promote the art of quilt making, stimulate interest through educating members and the public, and engage in projects for the community where needed and appropriate.
