During this 5-hour workshop Member Kathy Florence will teach us how to make a Convergence Quilt. Using popular quilter Ricky Tims’ tried and tested method Kathy will take us step-by-step through the process.

As well as the usual supplies for cutting, ironing and machine sewing, you will need to bring along 4 x 16” to 17” starched fabric squares in colors/fabrics and that will look good cut into strips and that will work well together.

The project normally takes 5 to 6 hours to complete so you should leave the workshop with a pieced top ready to quilt. You might choose to later add borders or to applique on top of your piece as many quilters have done in the past. A quick look on-line will give you lots of inspiration for color-ways as well as how you can use your finished piece in a larger project should you so wish.
