2010 Raffle Quilt, Won Honorable Mention at QuiltFest 2009 Machine Pieced, Hand Appliqued & Hand Embroidered by Suncoast Quilting Circle members. Jean Kass designed all 4 original Iris appliques. Some of the iris patterns are embellished with delicate hand embroidered stems and each corner has a blue bird. Custom
Free Hand Machine quilting by Dea Crandall with
eight pointed compass stars and feathers radiating out to completely fill each star. The squares each have a diamond
shape and the rest of the background is densely quilted with swirls, more feathers and wave designs. Proceeds to benefit SPC Educational Scholarship Fund, SQC Educational Fund & Hospice.
