    Hi Joanne,

The hand appliqué class I took recommended Superior Threads “Super Bob’s Doughnut” which is a ring of 35 bobbins of 60 weight polyester thread in a rainbow of colors (available on Amazon for about $35-$40). You use them like small spools of thread. The thread is fine, you can generally find a beautiful match, your stitches sink in and become invisible, and the ring of bobbins is highly portable so you always have the next color you need with you.

     Good luck with your appliqué!

I'm new to hand appliqué and want to know what thread to use?

I have watched you Tube and the only video I liked so far was "Anne's Freezer Paper". The thread she suggested was Wonderfil Invisibil (sp).

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you,

    Joanne Gilch
