Enjoy the fun of the "Back Table" where you can bring or pick up fabric/notions/patterns/quilt magazines.  Before you go home, you must take home anything you brought that still remains.   Please join us for an informative show and tell meeting on the first Monday evening of the month.

  The get-together will be an informal, social event but moderated and with a structure to help everyone get the most out of the meeting and fully participate. 

  There will be a chance to show and tell us about your latest completed project.

  You might care to show us what you are currently working on and maybe get help and advice if you are getting a bit stuck.

  If you have recently learnt a new technique perhaps you might like to tell us about it or even show us how to do it.

  You can share anything quilting related that you wish - we are talking about websites, shows, shops, patterns, notions, techniques - the list is endless - if you find it of interest it is likely others will also.

  Please do sign up and give this meeting a try. It will be a great chance to get to know each other better, especially if you are not able to get to mid-week or in-person meetings.

  Join us for a fun mid-week project morning on the third Wedneday of the month.  This is a great time to work along with others on whatever needs doing, whether at home or at St. Giles.  You might bring your machine and a project to work on, some planning sheets to calculate what you need for upcoming projects, your English Paper Piecing  on-the-go kit, an applique' project, something to bind, or whatever you desire.  You don't necessarily have to bring your machine but are welcome to.

  Whether in person or over zoom, it's a great opportunity for togetherness.  For those in person, it's another opportunity to head out to lunch afterwards to one of the diners nearby.  Please make sure all the quilters present feel invited to join in.

  The zoom session will start at approximately 9:15 as we don't get into the room until 9. Please be sure to register if you intend to zoom so we know to open the session.

  Note: The room must be returned to its original layout, floors swept, chairs cleared of threads and returned to original position prior to leaving the room.

   We will be meeting in person at St. Giles Church located at 8271 52nd St. N, Pinellas Park, FL 3378; it will also be available over Zoom. 
  

  Feel free to bring snacks and a beverage.  A refrigerator is available.

• Sew Smart, The ergonomics of healthy quilting by Rose Parr

   Rose has been sewing for 45 years, quilting for 30, and personal training for 17.  She states that quilting can literally be a pain in the neck or shoulders or lower back.  She will speak on the ergonomics of sewing, pressing, cutting, and handiwork.  Her stretches, which can be done in the sewing area, are designed for quilters’ trouble spots.  Her goal is to educate her audience so that they can “sew smart to sew long”.

  No matter what Block of the Month program you are following this is the regular 4th Wednesday of the month chance to discuss your progress and to ask for or give help as we encourage and motivate each other to complete the blocks.

  Join in any time, whether you are sewing the blocks or just enjoying cheering on the others. 

  The official showing of the blocks is during the following month's Sew Inspired Meeting; this is a chance for you to get any questions answered so you can finish and be ready for the showing.

  Ever wonder - what would this quilt look like if I made it in another color way? If I used plaids and stripes instead of florals? Well, Tammy can't tell you what EVERY quilt would look like, but she can help us explore some practical examples together! In a fun format, she will guide us to compare quilts made in florals versus batiks, reproduction fabrics versus crisp modern prints, brights versus pastels.
